Is it safe?
Low level laser therapy is completely safe. It is a
bio-stimulation laser, not a surgical laser. There
is no feeling to the treatment. There will be no
change to the surface of the skin where the laser is
applied. Your treatment will be given by a
certified Laser Technician, specifically trained in
low level laser therapy. The treatment is safe,
painless and effective.
How effective is it?
Our studies are the result of surveys sent out to
our own clients treated at AcuLaser in Broadview
Heights, Ohio. We request feed back three months
after the first visit and again at one year. We
have had well over 150 responses to our survey. At
three months, more than 88% of those responding are
still smoke- free. At one year, more than 98% of
those responding are still smoke-free. We began
treating clients in 2005 and are now receiving thank
you notes from those who are reaching their two year
anniversary.
Is it guaranteed?
Unfortunately, because of the complexities of the
psychological side of the addiction, no one can
force you to stop smoking. The laser therapy will
not make it impossible for you to ever smoke again,
but it does eliminate the physical connection and
addiction the body has to the nicotine. We can help
to eliminate the withdrawal and physical cravings
with laser therapy, allowing you to become a
non-smoker in the easiest possible way. Our
technician, together with you, will devise an
individual plan to overcome the habit and emotional
desire to smoke. You will also receive nutritional
guidelines to help your body to detoxify itself very
quickly.
What if I start to
feel irritable, anxious or think I still have
cravings?
You are welcome to return at any time for a free
booster treatment. A booster treatment will
reinforce the stimulation already in place from your
first visit. For most people, just one treatment is
all that is needed for you to be smoke free.
Booster treatments are very effective for those
experiencing any difficulty.
What does the
treatment involve?
It is a safe and painless therapy and will create a
loss of nicotine craving. Points can be treated to
control weight gain and aid with withdrawal. There
are no negative side effects. You will experience
an increased sense of well being.
What part of the
body is treated?
The auricular acupuncture points are located on the
outer part of the ears. Meridian acupuncture points
located on the hands and wrist are also treated.
How long will it
take?
Plan to be with us for about 45 minutes to allow the
technician adequate time with you for lifestyle
counseling. The laser therapy itself will take
about 25 minutes. Usually one treatment is all that
is needed.
How much does it cost?
Our smoking cessation therapy costs $225.00. This
includes laser therapy, lifestyle counseling with a
relaxation CD for you to keep, and nutritional
information for the detoxification. Any additional
booster treatments that may be needed are also
included in this price

The laser therapy for weight control is not meant to
be used on its own. Proper nutrition and regular
exercise are necessary for healthy results. Those
following the guidelines of the weight control
program have had great results losing weight and
maintaining their new weight.
Is it guaranteed?
Unfortunately, we have no guarantees that our
clients will follow the guidelines of healthy eating
and daily exercise when pursuing weight loss. We
try to follow our clients closely, scheduling a
follow up two weeks after the initial session. The
two week visit enables us to evaluate how the laser
therapy has affected your appetite and energy level
as well as how you are progressing with the
necessary lifestyle changes.
How many visits will
I need to lose weight?
The laser therapy for weight control will be
effective for about 4 to 6 weeks. We schedule the
first follow up at two weeks to monitor your
progress. A laser enhancement is included at this
visit to reinforce the stimulation. Usually the
next visit is four weeks later. Each client is
monitored and scheduled on an individual basis
depending on their response to the therapy.
What does the
treatment involve?
It is a safe and painless therapy. The laser is
applied to points on the arms, hands feet and legs
as well as the auricular points on the outer ears.
There are no negative side effects. You will
experience an increased sense of well being and find
that you are very relaxed after laser therapy.
How long will it
take?
Plan to be with us for about one hour. The
appointment includes a body mass analysis along with
the laser therapy. The technician will share
information with you regarding nutritional
guidelines and exercise guidelines.
How much does it cost?
Our weight control program costs $295.00. This
includes three laser therapy sessions. The first
visit includes laser therapy, body mass analysis,
nutritional information, lifestyle counseling with a
relaxation CD for you to keep and exercise
guidelines. For those pursuing long term goals,
additional laser therapy sessions can be purchased
at a discount of $75.00 each
